Why does everyone freak out about tattoos at young ages?

im 14 and i have a tramp stamp and everyone says oh your parents let you do that.....? My mom took me to go get my tattoo and i don't see why its a big deal i mean as long as you get it somewhere you can hide it for later in life and your parents don't mind i don't see the big deal
